Do you have a question? Perhaps the answer is here...
When can you cross the Gois?
Twice a day, the Passage du Gois is covered by 1.5 to 4 metres of water, depending on the tidal range.
It can only be crossed at low tide.
Is it possible to cross the Gois on foot?
Yes, the Passage du Gois is accessible on foot, by bike and by car.
On foot, however, be careful - the road is 4km long, so allow plenty of time for crossing, and there is no shoulder, so an accident can happen very quickly!
What are the market days?
Discover our local produce on the market stalls.
Is the Vélodyssée accessible all the time?
Yes, this cycle route can be ridden all year round, but beware: it runs along the coast and the wind is stronger in places, depending on the season!
How do I get there by train?
The area's only railway station is at Challans. It is served by the TER line 11 Nantes - Saint Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
